ELDON YADDOF
Eldon August Yaddof, 75, died Nov. 29, 2006, in Vancouver.
Yaddof was born Oct. 22, 1931, in Gooselake, Iowa. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War, stationed in Guam. He lived in the Vancouver/Ridgefield area for over 50 years. He retired from Boise Cascade in 1993 after 37 years of employment.
Yaddof enjoyed traveling and saw much of the world after retiring. He shopped every Tuesday with his wife and one or more grandchildren. He also enjoyed camping and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include wife of 50 years, Margaretta Yaddof, at home in Ridgefield, sons Randy Yaddof and Billy Yaddof, both of Ridgefield, daughter Pam Yinger of Battle Ground, brothers Edward Yaddof of and Archie Yaddof, both of Iowa, sisters Tootie Wulf, Lola Kamphius and LaVonne Voss, all of Iowa, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Sat., Dec. 9, 11 a.m., at Ridgefield Community United Methodist Church, 1410 S Hillhurst Rd., Ridgefield, with private internment at Memory Memorial Park, Vancouver. Davies Cremation and Burial Services, Vancouver, is in charge of arrangements.

Dennis Marion Yankee, 63, died June 27, 2008, in Clackamas, OR.

Yankee was born April 14, 1945, in Vancouver, served in the U.S. Air Force in the Vietnam War, and retired from Alcoa as a millwright. He was a member of the Eagles, Elks, Moose, Masonic Lodge, VFW and D.A.V. He was also an auxiliary member of the Clark County sheriff’s office.

Yankee enjoyed hunting, fishing, being a Shriner’s clown, spending time with his three grandsons, and being with friends, family and his wonder dog, Oscar.

Yankee was preceded in death by his father, Marion Yankee. Survivors include wife of 42 years, Sandra, at home in Vancouver, daughter Juli Garvey of Oregon, mother Jeanne Yankee of Vancouver, brother Dean Yankee of Battle Ground, sister Virginia Mulder of Poulsbo, and three grandsons.

Interment was at Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery, with Evergreen Memorial Gardens in charge of arrangements.

DOLORES ZSCHOMLER
Dolores W. (Alway) Zschomler, 73, died March 5, 2007, in Battle Ground.
Zschomler was born Nov. 6, 1933, in Seattle, and lived in southwest Washington most of her life. She was active in the United Methodist Church and served as church historian. She was a lifetime member of the Girls Scouts and Brownies, and served as a pack leader in Cub Scouts. She was active in PTA.
Zschomler graduated from Evergreen State College. She was active in VFW, Christian Women’s Club and Ladies of the Elks.
Zschomler had worked as a hair dresser and teacher. She was a Mary Kay representative for over 20 years. She was executive director of Neighbors In-Deed, coordinating help for seniors and others.
Zschomler enjoyed the outdoors and traveling the world. She participated in cross country skiing, walking, backpacking and mountain climbing.. She had climbed Mount St. Helens, Mount Hood, Mount Rainier and Mount Adams. She had been to the top of Pike’s Peak.
Zschomler walked in the Race for the Cure and Relay for Life. She loved going to the theater, and collected angel ornaments and decorations.
Survivors include former husband Arvol Zschomler of Stabler, son Greg Zschomler of Ridgefield, daughters Janis Frasier of Stabler and Suzanne Goedert of Yacolt, brothers Tom Alway, Louis Alway and Ron Alway, all of whom live in the Columbia River Gorge area, sisters Ramona Latimer of Colorado and Mary Cherry of Goldendale, and 12 grandchildren.
Internment took place at the Stevenson Cemetery, with Layne’s Funeral Home, Battle Ground, in charge of arrangements.
