Damsel in Defense offers items to help women feel safe, confident

One simple quote from the Damsel in Defense brochure can pretty much sum up what the business is all about.

“Because you carry your knight in shining armor in your purse.”

Damsel in Defense was founded by two women out of Meridian, ID, several months ago and was started because these two women are concerned about the safety of all women. The company offers several different styles of pepper spray and stun guns, a road trip tool with multiple functions, a door stop alarm, a key chain attachment with a loud blasting sound alarm and more.

With product names like Call Me crazy, Kiss It, Smell the Roses and more, Damsel in Defense products come in stylish colors such as pink, purple and more and are easily concealed.

Judy Morgan, a Damsel in Defense representative who sells the products in the Clark County area, said the company was started so that women could feel safe and confident and make money at the same time. The cost to join and become a representative is $199 and includes a start-up kit.

“I decided to join the company after taking a concealed weapons class and learned that we should also carry a non-lethal weapon as well,” Morgan said. “Searching the internet to find where to get pepper spray I came across this company and read all the information and liked what it was about and it looked like a really fun company to be a part of.”

Aside from travel selling the products, Damsel in Defense “Pros” also sell their products at expos, fairs and other shows and they also offer customers the option of hosting a Damsel in Defense party. Morgan said someone can choose to host a party in their home, office or wherever, invite their friends and then the Damsel in Defense Pro sets up a display and gives a brief presentation of the company and a description of each product.

Morgan said she also demonstrates how to use each of the products safely and effectively and then the guests can order at any time and the hostess can earn free products based on party sales. Since Morgan recently signed up to be a Damsel in Defense Pro, she said she hasn’t had the opportunity yet to sell products at any fairs, expos or shows. However, she said she plans to have a booth at gun shows, boat shows, garden shows, fairs or wherever she can promote the products.

Anyone can purchase Damsel in Defense products from Morgan at any time, it doesn’t have to only be at a party or fair, expo or show.
