With Christmas only about two weeks away, the days to get that perfect gift for a friend or family member are numbered.

Fortunately for those last minute shoppers, several stores in the Battle Ground area offer a variety of gift items for under $25 and some as low as under $10. Here’s just a few stores in Battle Ground that make good places to check out for gifts:

Urban Basics

(previously Value Giant)

As it recently changed ownership, Value Giant is now known as Urban Basics and offers numerous items that make good gifts and stocking stuffers. Derek Huegel of Urban Basics said they carry a number of items that could make great Christmas gifts that are under $25, including a variety of metal, retro-looking signs, retro toys, a brew-it-yourself rootbeer kit, picture frames, kitchenware such as knives, stainless steel pans and bowls, entry rugs and more.

Huegel said Urban Basics also has several smaller items that make great stocking stuffers, and they are all under $10. Some stocking stuffer items include leather wallets, watches, candles, small metal model cars, hair clips, hair accessories, wool socks and more. They have candles for $1 a piece, Christmas cards for 50 cents each and more. Huegel said the big table they have in the store with the stocking stuffer items on it empties by the end of every day. Another item that could make a good stocking stuffer that Urban Basics carries are puzzles for $4.99.

Urban Basics is located at 209 E. Main St., Battle Ground and is open Mon.-Sat., 9:30 a.m.-7 p.m.

LimeBerry Frozen Yogurt

A fairly new place in the Battle Ground area, LimeBerry Frozen Yogurt offers gift cards that could make a great Christmas gift or stocking stuffer. LimeBerry offers gift cards in amounts as low as $5 and can do $5 increments all the way up to whatever amount someone wants.

Currently, LimeBerry has a promotion going on where for every $25 in gift cards a person purchases, they get a free $5 gift card.

In addition to gift cards, LimeBerry also sells brightly-colored pink and green LimeBerry T-shirts and sweatshirts. The T-shirts cost $10 and the sweatshirts are $20.

LimeBerry is located at 11 NW 12th Ave., Battle Ground. They are open Mon.-Thurs., 11:30 a.m.-10 p.m., Fri.-Sat., 11:30 a.m.-11 p.m. and Sun., noon-10 p.m.

Literary Leftovers

Located near the old Fatty Patty’s restaurant, Literary Leftovers offers just what the name suggests – books. Owner Steve Tommerup opened the book store in 2000 and offers people a variety of used books and a few new ones.

For gifts under $25, Tommerup said he carries several hardback books that are around or under $25, including new James Patterson titles. He said most of the books are in new or once-read condition and he carries some gift books that are special editions for around $25.

Literary Leftovers also carries current paperbacks, children’s books that are in new or gently-used condition, western paperbacks and more that are generally under $10.

Tommerup said the store also has about 40 different Christmas books that are set during Christmas or have to do with Christmas.

Literary Leftovers is located at 813 W. Main St., Battle Ground, and is open Mon., 11 a.m.-4 p.m., Tues.-Fri., 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sat., 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
