Letter to the Editor: Daytime visitor who was told was clearly warned

Posted

Editor,

I happen to live in Yacolt in the mountains, and I have driven Lucia Falls Road every day for the past 12 years, and I read the letter to the editor from Liz Preston of Portland and how Liz Preston read the No Parking signs. What makes her immune to towing or a ticket? It clearly states that violators will be towed. I’ve told people many times that they need to move because they will get towed. You know what these out-of-towners do: They shrug their shoulders and walk along. They don’t care because they have an entitled attitude. This is not Clark County’s fault nor the sheriff’s fault. Yep, you got what you deserved and ask any one of us in Yacolt: We don’t want you back or anyone else that can’t seem to read signs or think they are immune to the law. You are making that road so dangerous when you park illegally. As far as I’m concerned, you got what you deserved. Stay in Portland because we don’t want you. Also, you know what your warning was: the signs that say no parking or you will be towed! Also, thank you sheriff for everything you do.
