Multiple fire agencies respond to large barn fire south of Ridgefield

Multiple units from Clark-Cowlitz Fire Rescue (CCFR) with mutual aid from Vancouver Fire and Clark County Fire District 6 tackled a large, fully engulfed barn fire south of Ridgefield that began shortly before 6 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 10.

The fire resulted in a total loss of a pole barn, approximately 200 feet by 150 feet, at a farm off of Northwest 31st Avenue, south of Ridgefield proper, according to CCFR. It was reported that no injuries occurred, and no animals were harmed.



A total of seven engines, one truck, five water tenders, three chief officers, one rescue vehicle, two brush trucks and an American Medical Response ambulance responded to the active fire, followed by a Clark County fire marshal.

As of Friday, Oct. 11, the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
