An 18-year-old man from Yacolt died in a single vehicle collision after he failed to negotiate a curve, left the roadway and struck a tree in the 22600 block of Northeast WH Garner Road on Tuesday.
A news release from the Clark County Sheriff's Office stated deputies, North County EMS, and Fire District 10 personnel were dispatched to the scene at around 11:45 p.m. on July 5.
Responding units located a 1988 Ford Ranger off of the roadway with extensive damage to the front of the vehicle.
The driver and sole occupant, Trevor A. Vernon, was pronounced dead at the scene, stated the release.
Traffic detectives from the sheriff’s office are investigating the collision.
