A 19-year old who died after being struck by a train on Monday, Dec 16, was identified by the Cowlitz County Coroner as Jeffirey S. Murdock, of Woodland.
Emergency services responded to the train versus pedestrian fatal incident at 12:25 p.m. near the intersection of Davidson Avenue and North Pekin Road near the Woodland Action Center Thrift Store. At 12:29 p.m. units on scene found Murdock beneath the train and ruled the incident fatal at 12:31 p.m.
The Cowlitz County Coroner stated Murdock’s cause of death was determined to be blunt-force traumatic injuries, and his manner of death was ruled as a suicide.
