All American Landscaping & Maintenance in Battle Ground has helped keep customer’s lawns and properties in good shape since 2014.
Owner Jeff Lish describes his company as a full-service landscaping company which offers lawn and landscaping maintenance. They also offer installation, hardscapes, retaining walls,and paver patios.
“With our full service, we do routine maintenance where we go to the same properties week after week and maintain the landscape to ensure the quality and beauty of the appearance of the property,” Lish said. “As far as our installation side goes, we do new construction or go to a property where people want to revamp the visual appearance or adjust the structural integrity of their property.”
He said the crew builds up outdoor living space by installing retaining walls, pavers, or adding value to their home by installing new landscapes.
All American Landscaping is busy all year round, Lish said. In the winter, the crew focuses on their maintenance clients.
“Since we’re full-service, we have maintenance that we do year-round, and our clients are routine, where we go week after week and service them throughout the season,” he said. “The maintenance doesn’t stop in the wintertime, and the construction for the hardscapes, which is the retaining walls, pavers, drainage, and planting is really give-or-take depending on the weather. Some years are busier than others.”
Lish said All American has been in the The Columbian’s top five best in Clark County for the last six years.
“We are very fortunate to have a pretty good group of clients, and our crew is very professional and reliable, so we are thankful to have that in our back pocket to where people call us a lot and also refer us to others,” Lish said. “People don’t stop in the winter, because if they need the work done, they need the work done.”
Because the Pacific Northwest has a lot of wind and rain, Lish said if the company is not building a retaining wall, they’re probably building a drainage pipe or picking up debris.
“Our workload may fall off a bit, but we’re keeping our guys fairly busy year-round,” Lish said.
For the winter season, Lish said All American offers services like de-icing and snowplowing. During the snowstorm in February of this year, the crew was out with their snow plows for a week straight. When the ice comes, crews put granule de-icer down on sidewalks for residential and commercial clients, especially for clients who have storefronts and serve a lot of customers. They clear the snow out of parking lots as well.
Compared to other landscaping companies in the area, Lish said All American stands out because they are local. Their quality of work and their communication also gives them an edge, he said.
“We’re not a corporation, we’re a family-owned business. Our employees are part of the family too,” said Lish. “They’re not just numbers. Our employees come to work wanting to be here, and they want to improve the properties that they work on, leaving the clients with a reason to call back and refer us to their friends and neighbors.”
