Area boys basketball advance to state tournament, will have tough hill to climb after seeding announced

The highest seeded boys basketball team from north Clark County is the La Center Wildcats with a No. 14 seed. 

After surviving district tournaments, boys basketball squads from Prairie, Ridgefield, La Center and the Columbia Adventist Academy advanced to their respective classification’s state tournaments. 

The only host from North Clark County was the Columbia Adventist Academy, seeded 16th in the 1B tournament, on Tuesday, Feb. 25, but results were unavailable as of press time. The Kodiaks played Sound Christian on Feb. 25, with an opportunity to advance to play Wellpinit High School at West Valley (Spokane) High School on Saturday, March 1, at 8 p.m. 



The Prairie Falcons, seeded 17th in the 3A tournament, also played on Tuesday, Feb. 25. They matched up against Central Valley High School with a chance to advance to play Eastside Catholic High School on Saturday, March 1, at 4 p.m. at Issaquah High School, but results were unavailable at press time. 

On Saturday, March 1, at 6 p.m. at Richland High School, the Ridgefield Spudders, seeded 15th in the 2A tournament, will face off against Prosser High School in a win-or-go-home matchup. Also on March 1, the La Center Wildcats, seeded 14th in the 1A tournament, will square off against Cashmere High School at Wenatchee High School at 2 p.m in a win-or-go-home game.
