Battle Ground Public Schools CASEE to host open house

Battle Ground Public School (BGPS) students in eighth through 11th grade, and their parents, are invited to attend an open house at the 80-acre Center for Agriculture, Science, and Environmental Education (CASEE) campus.

The event will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 16, at CASEE building B, 11104 NE 149th St., Brush Prairie. Online registration for the open house attendance is available at shorturl.at/wSl3x.

CASEE students and teachers will provide tours of the CASEE campus, answer questions and showcase current experiments during the open house, a press release by BGPS stated.



The CASEE campus provides an opportunity for students to learn practical sciences in a hands-on environment. Students attend CASEE during a three-hour scheduled block Monday through Friday. Students participating in CASEE campus classes can earn up to 15 college credits, the press release stated.

Current classes at CASEE include biology, natural resources, environmental science, forestry, wildlife, chemistry, agroecology, microbiology, agricultural and industrial biotechnology and four years of high school English, the program’s website stated.
