Battle Ground Public Schools has canceled the 2025-26 school year kindergarten Jump Start program following two failed levy attempts and related budget cuts.
Jump Start is a four-day kindergarten program held in August to help incoming students acclimate to school. Space is limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis to BGPS families. Students must be enrolled to participate, according to the district’s website.
BGPS officials said they remain committed to supporting incoming students and helping families prepare for kindergarten. Additional information will be shared during school orientations later this May, the district said in a news release.
