Longtime Ridgefield resident Clyde Burkle will not accept position 7 on the Ridgefield City Council afterall.
During a council meeting on July 8, councilors chose Burkle to fill one of two vacancies created by resignations. He later decided to not accept the appointment.
Burkle was one of 10 applicants for the two positions. Three finalists remain. They include Bambi Heup, Judy Chipman and Rachel Coker.
The Ridgefield City Council will decide which two applicants will hold positions 7 and 2 during its July 22 meeting.
