The Center for Agriculture, Science, and Environmental Education (CASEE) program at Battle Ground Public Schools will host a science night event from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 12. Current or upcoming high school students are encouraged to attend, a news release stated.

The event will also provide an opportunity for parents and students to inquire with instructors of CASEE about what the program has to offer, stated the release.

CASEE combines a science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) program with English language arts and incorporates biological, environmental and agricultural science. In the program, students spend half the day on an 80-acre laboratory which involves learning in the classroom, the lab, and the outdoors, the release said. Applications for CASEE opened on Jan. 5 and are due by March 25.
