City of La Center looks to fill vacant council position

The City of La Center is accepting applications to fill the unexpired term of city council position 4.

The remainder of the council term runs until Nov. 28, according to a news release from the city.

In compliance with state law, qualified candidates need to be a citizen of the United States, a registered voter and must have resided within the La Center city limits for at least one year prior to appointment.

Applications with letters of interest will be accepted until 5 p.m. on June 4.
