Clark County Council will keep meetings virtual through September

The Clark County Council this week decided it will keep its public meetings in a virtual format through at least the end of September because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Councilors will re-evaluate and consider whether to reopen meetings to in-person attendance at that time, stated a news release.

The council also canceled several meetings over the next couple of weeks, which include meetings originally scheduled for Sept. 1, Sept. 7 and Sept. 8.

The council plans to resume meetings the week of Sept. 13. A previously scheduled work session and council time is set for Sept. 15.

Meeting agendas, participation instructions and public comment forms can be found online on the county’s website at www.clark.wa.gov/councilors/clark-county-council-meetings

County employees and visitors to county buildings are required to follow Gov. Jay Inslee’s face covering mandate, which requires anyone over the age of 5 to wear a face covering regardless of their vaccination status, stated the release.
