Clark County Community Services recently released its 2024 Community Needs Assessment Report, a resource for local agencies formulating policies, programs or funding decisions that may affect persons facing poverty-related challenges.

The Community Needs Assessment Report outlines the needs and priorities of Clark County residents, as identified by people in households experiencing economic hardship, a Clark County news release stated.

Results from this year’s Community Needs Assessment Report emphasized the complexity of poverty and how addressing poverty-related issues “requires a comprehensive and coordinated effort that addresses the root causes of poverty, not just the symptoms, and promotes economic stability and opportunity for all residents,” according to the release.

Housing continues to be particularly challenging for many individuals and households struggling economically, the report stated.

The report is available online in English, Spanish, Russian, Ukrainian and Chuukese at shor turl.at/SWDp0.

The report is conducted every three years by the Community Action, Housing and Development unit of Clark County Community Services, the release stated. The survey received 893 responses, the news release stated.
