Clark County is seeking applicants for a position on the public facilities district board of directors. The two-year term will begin immediately.
A news release stated the public facilities district was created in 2002 to participate in the development of regional centers, like the convention center in Vancouver and the exhibition hall at the Clark County Fairgrounds.
Board members receive $50 per day while attending meetings, stated the release.
The board typically meets on the first Monday of February, May, August and November. Meetings are held on the Teams platform.
Letters should demonstrate knowledge about Clark County and summarize the applicant’s experience with hotels and convention centers, facility operations and finance, economic development, tourism, marketing, and events and promotion.
The application deadline is 5 p.m. on Friday, June 30.
