Volunteer Invasive English Ivy Pull: 9 a.m.-noon, Saturday, Nov. 16, Abrams Park, 400 Abrams Park Road, Ridgefield. Help combat invasive English ivy, which crowds out native and less aggressive plants, during an event hosted by Watershed Alliance of Southwest Washington and the Ridgefield Garden Club. Community members are invited to a free Thanksgiving dinner, hosted by Dream for Life in collaboration with multiple local and national sponsors. Ridgefield Public Schools Foundation Turkey Trot: 9 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 28, Union Ridge Elementary School, 330 N. Fifth Ave., Ridgefield. Raise funds for Ridgefield Public Schools Foundation to support school district families. A Drumstick Dash for children ages 5 and under will begin at 8:45 a.m. The 5-kilometer walk/run will begin at 9 a.m. Race packet pickup will be available from 4-6 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 27, at Union Ridge Elementary School’s gym.
