Shred day: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 7. The Battle Ground Lions Club will host a free shredding day at the Albertson’s parking lot, which allows participants to shred up to four grocery bags of documents. Donations will also be accepted to benefit the Lions Club. The Lions Club partnered with Dan’s Tractor and Keller Williams-Gabbert Group LLC for the event. Albertson’s is located at 2108 W. Ridgefield High School Golden Grads Social: 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 15. The Ridgefield High School classes of 1967, 1969 and 1970 will host a Sunday social, which raises funds for scholarships for the class of 2022. Parade of Bands: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 21. Join the Hazel Dell community for the return of the Parade of Bands. The parade will feature dozens of high school marching bands from across the Pacific Northwest, along with floats and equestrian entries. Pig Jam: 5 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10. Join the Battle Ground community for a Pig Jam, which will serve a large, roasted barbecue pig while an AC/DC tribute band plays. Food is $24, and includes three different plates, each with a quarter pound of meat and a side. Attendees can listen to the band’s performance for free.
