Pomeroy Farm Days: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the first weekend of every month through August. Join the Pomeroy Farm as they host an open farm weekend, which includes I-spy activities for kids, farm animals, artisans and vendors. Parking and admission is free, but a donation is encouraged. Clark County Fair: Join residents of the area at the Clark County Fair through Aug. 14. It will include carnival rides, hot dog and hamburger eating competitions, a baby beauty contest, a science show, a reptile exhibit, and a large variety of foods. Fire & Grace: 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 12. The musical duo Fire & Grace, with Edwin Huizinga on violin and William Coulter on guitar, will play for one night at Ridgefield’s Old Liberty Theater. They will play folk tunes, classical compositions, tango, Celtic ballads and uptempo foot-stompers. Tickets are $27, which include a service charge, and can be purchased online at oldlibertytheater.com/events or by calling 360-887-7260. The Old Liberty Theater is located at 115 N. Main Ave., Ridgefield. 

Hot Summer Nights: 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 12 at Horseshoe Lake. Join the Woodland community as they celebrate its yearly Hot Summer Nights and Movies in the Park events, which will include beach volleyball, car shows, and a dinner from the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Firefighter open house: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 13. Join Clark County Fire District 3 at an open house where people can meet their local emergency responders and learn about the fire district. Free hot dogs, chips, soda and water will be provided. Kids can also play in a “squirt house” and receive stickers and helmets as well. It will be held at Station 35 at 505 SW First St., Battle Ground. BGHS reunion: 2 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 13. The Battle Ground High School Class of 1965 will celebrate its 57th reunion and 75th birthday party. Food and water will be provided. Livestock manure composting: 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 18. Join resource conservationist Lisa Schuchman of the Natural Resources Conservation Service, Clark Conservation District’s Livestock Specialist Samantha Frundle, and alpaca rancher Pam Conrad, as they teach people how to compost livestock manure. It will include information on how to reduce pile size, create a valuable soil amendment, reduce pests, and keep water clean.
