Toastmaster meetings: 7 p.m. every Tuesday online. Toastmasters holds meetings for people who want to improve their communication skills for business or career development. Meetings are on Zoom. Take off Pounds Sensibly (TOPS): 11:30 a.m. every Thursday at Battle Ground Elks Lodge, 907 SE Grace Ave., Battle Ground. The meeting starts with a weigh-in. If you want to lose weight sensibly, TOPS has you covered. For more information, call Donna Brown at 562-355-0950. 

Columbia River Square Dancers: Lessons 6 to 8 p.m. on Sundays, dances at 7 p.m. for plus level and 8 to 9:45 p.m. for mainstream level on the first and third Friday of each month. Battle Ground’s 32nd Annual Holiday Tree Lighting: 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 3, at the Battle Ground Community Center, 912 E. Main St., Battle Ground. Join the Battle Ground community to light the holiday tree, as well as take pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus, who will arrive via the Fire District 3 engine, which will be escorted by the Battle Ground Police Department. Holiday cookies and hot chocolate will be offered, courtesy of the Battle Ground Lions Club. Face coverings are required. For more information, visit city ofbg.org/h olidays.

Hometown Celebration: Saturday, Dec. 4 in downtown Ridgefield. People will be able to view decorations and lights, and shop at vendors in the outdoor marketplace. There will be an Ugly Sweater 5K/10K, a holiday food and gift marketplace, winter and holiday inspired crafts, an ornament hunt, a drive and drop food drive, the Circle of Trees, holiday trolley rides, a tree lighting and an acoustic guitar summit. Festival of Wreaths and Wine auction: Through Saturday, Dec. 4, ending at 9 p.m at the Battle Ground Community Center, 912 E. Main St., Battle Ground. Register now to participate in the Battle Ground Rotary Club’s (BGRC) biggest fundraiser, which offers over 25 wreaths, over 25 baskets with wine and gifts, art, gift certificates, and fun experiences. The BGRC will also host an event at the Battle Ground Community Center at the end of the night on Dec. 4, with music by Ricky Lee Jackson, as well as food and wine. Walk & Knock: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 4. The Walk & Knock food drive will be held in a “drive and drop” format this year. Participants can drop-off non-perishable food items or toiletries at 10 locations in Clark County. They include Chuck’s Produce at 2302 NE 117th St., Hudson’s Bay High School at 1601 E. McLoughlin Blvd., Living Hope Church at  2711 NE Andresen Road, Parkrose Hardware at 16509 SE First  St., Walmart at 14505 NE Fourth Plain Blvd. and Ward Road, the Clark County Food Bank at 6502 NE 47th Ave., ERS Rental Group at 2305 SE Eight St. in Camas, Clark County Fire Station No. 26 at 21609 NE 72nd  Ave. in Battle Ground, at the La Center bridge in La Center, and at View Ridge Middle School at 3215 S. Hillhurst Road in Ridgefield. Outside of the one day event, donations can also be taken to Riverview Community Bank branches, Les Schwab Tire Centers or Cost Less Auto Parts locations from Nov. 29 to Dec. 10

La Center Christmas celebration: 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 5. Come join the city of La Center in the downtown area for a visit from Santa, a laser light show, interactive nativity scene, Christmas tree lighting and more. Lewis River Dixie and the Battle Ground Community Band concert: 7 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 6 at Battle Ground Baptist Church, 1110 NW 6th Ave., Battle Ground.
