Fort Vancouver Regional Libraries: 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 4 via an online meeting. Stop by for a virtual, weekly Craft ‘n Chat session. To participate, you’ll need a computer, tablet or phone with a camera and microphone. Family Fun Carnival: 4 to 11 p.m. Friday, Aug. 6; noon to 11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 7-8; 4 to 11 p.m. Monday through Friday, Aug. 9-13; noon to 11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 14-15 at the Clark County Event Center at the Fairgrounds presented by Butler Amusements. More than 29 fan-favorite rides will return to the fairgrounds. Tickets are available in advance for $35 a wristband with an additional $3 fee per band purchased online. Paddle for Life: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 7 at the Port of Ridgefield Kayak Launch, 111 W. Division St., Ridgefield. Race a dragon boat full of friends or community members down a 250-meter course. The race will benefit Hope 311, a mental health and suicide prevention nonprofit. Pomeroy Farm: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 7 and 8 at Pomeroy Farm, 20902 NE Lucia Falls Road, Yacolt. Spend a day on the farm with family-friendly activities, like food vendors, music and a Civil War encampment. There is no entrance fee, but donations are encouraged. Ridgefield First Saturday: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 7 in downtown Ridgefield. Activities for City Days include a city street sweeper and dump truck kids selfie station, city scavenger hunt, farmers market and other kids activities. La Center Saturday in the Park: 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 7 at Sternwheeler Park, 100 E. 4th St., La Center. Hockinson Saturday Market: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 14 in the front parking lot of the Hockinson Community Center, 17912 NE 159th St., Brush Prairie. Check out local crafts, fresh items and novelties at the Hockinson Saturday Market every second Saturday of the month. The market is hosted by the Hockinson Community Education. Ridgefield Lions Club Sausage Fest: 4 to 10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 13 and noon to 10 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 14 at Abrams Park, 501 Division St., Ridgefield. The Ridgefield Sausage Fest will include live music, activities for kids, games and a family-friendly beer garden. The Ridgefield Lions Club will sell Oktoberfest sausages from Zenner’s Meats and free commemorative beverage glasses will be provided while they last. Learn more at  ridgefieldsausagefest.com.

Battle Ground Art Alliance: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11 at Kiwanis Park, 422 SW 2nd Ave. The art alliance will host an outdoor art sale. No kits or mass-produced items will be allowed and the alliance asks for entries to be family-friendly. Member vendors can pay $40 for a 10-by-10 foot space, $50 for non-members and $10 per person for a group tent. Vendors must contact the BGAA by Aug. 15. Veterans of Foreign Wars: 7 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 14 at 434 Davidson Ave., Woodland. Come grab a hot breakfast to benefit the Woodland VFW group. The fundraiser is held every second Saturday of the month.
