Voter regulation presentation: 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 14. Join the League of Women Voters and the Fort Vancouver Regional Library as they hold a presentation on new voter regulations. Harvest Days: Friday, July 15 and Saturday, July 16. Head to Battle Ground for the annual Harvest Days celebration. There will be a Harvest Night Cruise at 6 p.m. on July 15 and a parade at 10 a.m. on July 16, as well as a pancake breakfast and vendor fair. Harvest Days used book sale: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, July 15 and Saturday, July 16. Join the Battle Ground Community Library for a book sale that will feature fiction, nonfiction, children’s books, DVDs and videos for sale during Harvest Days. Hardbacks are $1 and pocketbooks are 50 cents. Proceeds will benefit library programs for all ages. Hockinson Blueberry Festival: 9 a.m. for blueberry sales, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for festival on Saturday, July 16. Join the Hockinson community for the annual blueberry festival, which will include live music, a blueberry pie baking contest, and a local celebrity pie eating contest. Vendors will include Hearth Coffee, Heirloom Family Micro Farm, Good Year Farms, and Amelia’s Exquisite Mexican Dining. Recycle right relay: 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 16. Join the staff at Battle Ground Lake Park as Waste Connections recycling educator Ellen Ives plays a game with participants to improve their recycling skills. All ages are welcome. Miss Teen La Center Scholarship Pageant: 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 23. La Center will hold its annual Miss Teen La Center Scholarship Pageant for girls ages 13 to 18. Elks bingo: 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 23. Join the Battle Ground Elks Lodge No. 2589 for a game of bingo. Members and guests are welcome. Equestrian safety: 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 23. Join the staff at Battle Ground Lake Park as senior park aide Mindy Lahti-Phillip teaches people how to ride horses safely on trails. Ridgefield Forest Fair: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 6. Join the Ridgefield Art Association as they host a new festival which includes dancers from Northwest Classical Ballet, a parade, and 30 artisan booths. Bigfoot Mojo Band and Reckless Kompany will provide music. There will be an open mic between sets. The Ridgefield Lions Club will provide food as well. La Center All School Reunion: 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 7. Join former La Center High School students at an all school reunion. All classes are invited and welcomed. Pomeroy Farm Days: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the first weekend of every month through August. Join the Pomeroy Farm as they host an open farm weekend, which includes I-spy activities for kids, farm animals, artisans and vendors. Parking and admission is free, but a donation is encouraged. Opus School of Music: Through Friday, Aug. 19. The Opus School of Music in Ridgefield will hold its summer session, which will feature pre-K classes, as well as private and group music lessons. Pig Jam: 5 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10. Join the Battle Ground community for a Pig Jam, which will serve a large, roasted barbecue pig while an AC/DC tribute band plays. Food is $24, and includes three different plates, each with a quarter pound of meat and a side. Attendees can listen to the band’s performance for free. Experience Ridgefield: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10. South Pawcific fundraiser: 5. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 17. Join Furry Friends at the organization’s 14th annual auction, which will benefit the organization and assist with medical needs for cats.
