Yacolt Rendezvous Days: July 1 to July 4. Join the Yacolt community as they celebrate their annual Rendezvous Days. The event will feature a 5K or 10K run or walk during the Bigfoot Fun Run on July 2 and July 3, a kickball tournament with a family and competitive division, and a block party on July 2. There will also be a backroads event, which will feature pizza on July 1 and July 2. It will end with a parade at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 4. Battle Ground Lake owls: 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 2. Join the staff at Battle Ground Lake Park as Columbia Springs Volunteer and CIG Interpretive Guide Ellen M. Something fishy’s going on: 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 9. Join the staff at Battle Ground Lake Park as retired Department of Fish and Wildlife employee Jana Grote and volunteers Warren and Ellen Wilson discuss the many types of fish in the lake. Native plant ID walk: 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 9. Join the staff at Battle Ground Lake Park as a Master Gardener and NatureScaping volunteer takes participants on a one-mile walk around the lake to observe a variety of plant species that contribute to the park’s ecosystem. Capacity is limited to 20 people. Participants are encouraged to sign up in advance by calling 360-687-4621.

Our Days Steamboat Festival: Saturday, July 9 for citywide garage sales; 7:30 p.m. on July 29 for parade followed by a movie in the park. Other events on July 30 include a 5K, vendors, car show, beer garden, bingo, beautiful baby and kid zone. Join the La Center community for its Our Days Steamboat Festival. Battle Ground senior luncheon: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, July 11. Join the Battle Ground seniors for their monthly luncheon. There will be barbecue. Opus School of Music: Monday, July 11 to Friday, Aug. 19. The Opus School of Music in Ridgefield will hold its summer session, which will feature pre-K classes, as well as private and group music lessons. Pomeroy Farm Days: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the first weekend of every month from June to August.
