Dangers of fentanyl: 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 16. Join the Ridgefield community as the Clark County Sheriff’s Office presents information on the dangers of fentanyl. Holiday tree lighting celebration: 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 2. Join the Battle Ground community as they celebrate during the annual tree lighting celebration at the Battle Ground Community Center. There will be live music and caroling with the Battle Ground High School choir. Santa Claus will make a grand entrance on a Fire District 3 engine. Santa and Mrs. Claus will also greet children at the center. There will be holiday cookies and hot cocoa as well. Admission is free. The Battle Ground Community Center is located at 912 E. Holiday party and auction: 5 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 2. Join ilani for the Southwest Washington Contractors Association’s “Old Hollywood” holiday party and auction. Battle of Lights: Saturday, Dec. 3 to Wednesday, Dec. 21. Join the Battle Ground community for the annual Battle of Lights as residents decorate their homes for the holiday season. A prize will be awarded for the best decorated home. Houses will be judged on creative use of lights, unique design, outstanding story and theme, and presentation. The event is free to participate in. Registration will run through Dec. 1. Winners will be announced on Dec. 22.
