QuiltFest Northwest: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 20 through Saturday, Oct. 22. Join the Clark County Quilters for the 47th annual Regional Quilt and Fiber Arts Show. It will feature a “Sunshine & Roses” themed show which will include over 300 quilts along with special exhibits and events, challenge quilts, a vendor mall, the Diana Cherrywood traveling exhibit, the Fort Vancouver Tapestry, and more. Entry costs $8 per day or $15 for a three-day pass. Tickets for children under 12 are free and parking is $6 with cash or card. Hockinson Fall Fest: 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22. Join the Hockinson community for its annual Fall Fest, which will feature games, candy and a trunk or treat event. Meaningful movies: 2 to 3 p.m. at the Ridgefield Community Library and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Old Liberty Theater on Oct. 22. Join the Ridgefield community for educational films about climate change as six short films are played at the Ridgefield Community Library. The event is for school aged children and their parents. Later that day, the Old Liberty Theater will screen the film Climate Warriors, which is geared toward older students and adults. The event is free, but donations are encouraged. The Ridgefield Community Library is located at 210 N. Main Ave., Ridgefield, and the Old Liberty Theater is located at 115 N. Main Ave., Ridgefield. U.S. Air Force concert: 7 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 24. Join Battle Ground High School as they host the United States Air Force Concert Band and Singing Sergeants to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the United States Air Force. College and career fair: 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 26. Join Battle Ground Public Schools as they host a college and career fair, which allows students to explore a variety of post-high school options, including two- and four-year colleges, apprenticeship programs, trade schools and the military. It will be located at the Prairie High School commons, 11311 NE 119th St., Vancouver and is open to the public. Phantom of the Opera screening: 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29 and Sunday, Oct. 30. Join Battle Ground Public Schools as they screen the 1925 classic horror movie, Phantom of the Opera, with choral accompaniment sung by the Vancouver Master Chorale and orchestra. The program also includes “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban” and the song “The Monster Mash” with students from Battle Ground and Prairie high schools.
