Clark County Manager Kathleen Otto is seeking applicants interested in government and educational television access and television franchising to fill four positions on the volunteer city/county Telecommunications Commission. Applications are due by 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1.
The Telecommunications Commission volunteer positions will begin immediately and will serve three-year terms. The positions will end in 2026, a Clark County news release stated.
The commission will serve as an advisory group to the County Council and the City of Vancouver on matters related to cable television and telecommunications issues. The commission will make reports, monitor compliance with cable franchise agreements and establish regulations regarding telecommunications, the news release stated.
The Telecommunications Commission will meet at 3:30 p.m. Wednesdays twice a year in a hybrid format at Vancouver City Hall, 415 W. Sixth St., Vancouver. An online meeting option will be available at a later date, the news release stated.
