Jordan Chiles, a 23-year-old Prairie High School graduate, is bound for Paris after a third-place performance in the 2024 U.S. Olympic Team Gymnastics Trials in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Chiles’ all-around score of 111.425 qualified her for her second U.S. Olympic Women’s Gymnastics Team. She first competed for Team USA in 2021 after her training partner, Simone Biles, abruptly pulled out of the Tokyo 2020 Women’s Gymnastic Team final for health reasons. Chiles, 20 at the time, had originally planned to compete in the vault and floor events in 2021 but took over the balance beam and uneven bars after Biles withdrew from the competition.

Now the two head to the 2024 Paris Olympic Games to compete alongside each other, representing the nation.

The 2024 U.S. Olympic Women’s Gymnastics Team consists of Biles, Suni Lee, Chiles, Jade Carey and Hezly Rivera, with Joscelyn Robertson and Leanne Wong as traveling alternates and Kaliya Lincoln and Tianna Sumanasekera as non-traveling alternates.
