Residents can enjoy the classic rock hits of Journey performed by the tribute band Stone in Love during a holiday food drive hosted by Hockinson School District (HSD).
The concert will begin at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 5, at Hockinson High School Gymnasium, 16819 NE 159 St., Brush Prairie.
Admission to the family-friendly concert is two canned food items per person to support the HSD and Clark County Fire District 3 holiday canned food drive. Attendees may also donate cash instead of food, a HSD press release stated.
“An event like this not only brings our families and community together, it also gives us an opportunity to support local families in need,” HSD Superintendent Steve Marshall said in the press release. “The hope is that we all see neighbors, friends and soon-to-be friends in the crowd joining us to support the efforts of our leadership students and kick off the holiday season in a positive and memorable way.”
Journey is an American rock band that formed in 1973. Iconic Journey songs include “Don’t Stop Believin’ ” and “Open Arms.” Journey has sold 47 million albums in the United States and 75 million albums worldwide, according to the Hollywood Walk of Fame website.
