Charles Cal Johnson passed away peacefully in Junction City, Oregon, in his golf cart in a strawberry patch on June 30, 2022. He was 82. He was born on March 9, 1940, to William Calaham Johnson and Millie Olive Johnson.
He is survived by his sister Shirley Brandenburg, daughters Jody Akers and Anna McCool, and grandchildren Cooper Akers, Hunter McCool and Lindy McCool.
Cal lived in Battle Ground for 67 years before retiring to Junction City, Oregon. He graduated from Clark College as a machinist, a career he had and enjoyed his whole life. He loved family, his corgi, driving around in his golf cart in the orchards and vegetable farms, camping, gardening, cooking, all things machines, and was very generous with his time and money. He loved sharing stories with his friends. He knew a lot about a lot and was always willing to talk.
