Charles “Chuck” Arthur Gullickson, 75, of Battle Ground, Washington, passed unexpectedly and quickly into the arms of his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2024.

Born on Sept. 14, 1949, in Portland, Oregon, Chuck was one of five children born to Arthur and Louise Gullickson.

Chuck met the love of his life, Dianne, in 1967. They were married on July 25, 1969. Shortly before their marriage, Chuck joined the United States Army and served with honor during the Vietnam War. His courage and dedication earned him numerous commendations, including the Bronze Star.

After his military service, Chuck built a successful and fulfilling career. He worked as a millwright and a diesel mechanic.

Chuck and Dianne were blessed with the birth of their daughter, Jennie, in 1976, followed by another blessing, their son Adam in 1983. Chuck’s greatest joy in life was his family, and he poured his love, guidance and faith into raising his children.
Above all else, Chuck was a man of deep faith whose love for God guided every aspect of his life. He often reminded others of the peace and hope found in Christ, a peace that now surrounds him in heaven.

A man of many talents and interests, Chuck earned his pilot’s license and loved flying. He also had a passion for traveling, particularly to Alaska and Montana. He enjoyed hunting and experiencing the beauty of the outdoors. He had a knack for horse trading and always loved striking a good deal.

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Louise Gullickson; sister, Carolyn Wanke; and brother-in-law, Kenneth Wanke.

Chuck is survived by his wife of 55 years, Dianne Gullickson; children, Jennie Easter (Dan) and Adam Gullickson; his siblings, June Gullickson, Bonnie Folwell and Gene Gullickson; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at The Cedars Public House, 15001 NE 181st St., Brush Prairie, Washington, on Friday, June 13, at 5 p.m.

Though his passing was sudden, Chuck’s life was full of love, adventure, service and faith. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
