Posted

Jeffrey A. Kammer passed away peacefully at home on Dec. 24, 2022, and was surrounded by his family in his final days. Jeff was born on Jan. 6, 1960, to Ben and Virginia Kammer in Vancouver.

Jeff was a dedicated husband, father and coach. He enjoyed vacationing with family and friends and had a great love of baseball. Some of his fondest memories were coaching his children in softball and baseball, and also family members and friends on his teams at Ridgefield Little League, Glenwood Little League, Hazel Dell Metro and Showtime Baseball. He was so proud of his Major League team winning the Clark County championship and going to the World Series with his Metro and Showtime teams.

Jeff worked 41 years at Great Western Malting and served many years as a committed union member and steward.

Jeff was preceded in death by his father Ben, brother Jay and grandson Jace.

Jeff is survived by his wife Kay after celebrating 40 years of marriage in July, his daughter Nicole (partner Matt and his daughter Kailey) and son Jared (daughter-in-law Cailey and grandson Brody), mother Virginia, in-laws Jerry and Shirley Stallings, sister Julie Pfeifer (brother-in-law Craig), and brother Jim (sister-in-law Paula), as well as nieces, nephews, and their children (Josh and Ali Pfeifer with Delaney, Reagan and Kinsley, Corey and Jordan Pfeifer with Cam and Ben, Stephanie and Ty Estes with Blakely, Andrew Kammer and Isabelle Douglass with Hunter, Jayden and Baylee and Karlee Kammer).

Forever loved – forever missed

A celebration of Jeff’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on June 24, 2023, at Abrams Park, 400 N. Abrams Park Road, Ridgefield.
