In loving memory of Lois Chapman: 1935-2022

 Lois Shirley Chapman passed away on April 18, 2022, at the age of 87 in Yakima, Washington. Lois was born Jan. 9, 1935 in Astoria, Oregon to her parents Stan and Barbara Neururer. She was a 60-year resident of Ridgefield, Washington. Lois worked as an activity director for the Ridgefield Nursing Home for many years and was a very active member in the community and her church. Lois loved to paint, quilt, garden, visit the Oregon Coast and many other activities. 

Lois is survived by her brother Robert (Flossie) Rockhold; sister Susan Kvanvig; her children Rebecca (Martin) Casey of Vancouver, Theresa (Robert) Melton of Yakima, Kenneth (Caroline) Chapman of Yacolt, and Vickie Chapman of Honolulu; grandchildren Christina, Geno, Robert IV, Addie, Eric, Danielle and Katherine; seven great-grandchildren; nieces Bethany, Debbie, Diane, Donna, Connie, Crystal, Darlene and Jackie; nephew Jim; cousins Raylene Roberts, Margit (Randy) Wheeler, Mark Stangland, Steve (Patricia) Stangland and Gerald (Nancy) Stangland; sister-in-law Reda (Terry) Stine; brother-in-law Gerald (Betty) Chapman; and many loving friends including Robin (Scott) Pauley, Becky (Eric) Forslund and George (Rita) Mixter. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Eugene, son Stanley, sister Diane, nephew Robert Jr., and cousin David. 

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 23, 2022 at the Willamette National Cemetery, 11800 SE Mt. Scott Blvd., Portland, Oregon, to be with her husband. A gathering will be held from 12:30 to 3 p.m. at the Church of the Nazarene, 747 Pioneer St., Ridgefield, Washington. Food and refreshments will be provided.
