In Loving Memory of Lucas Thames: 1985-2025

Posted

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lucas, who left this world on March 10, 2025, at the age of 40. A devoted father, loving brother, and cherished friend, Lucas touched the lives of so many with his kindness, strength, and unwavering love for his family.

Born on Jan. 3, 1985, in Vancouver, Washington, Lucas grew up surrounded by love, laughter, and the values that he carried throughout his life. He was a dedicated father to his three daughters, whom he loved beyond measure, and a supportive brother to his five siblings, always ready with a helping hand or words of wisdom.

Besides spending time with his three girls, Lucas had a deep love for fishing, finding peace and joy by the water. Whether it was casting a line at sunrise or sharing stories of the one that got away, he cherished every moment spent outdoors. Fishing wasn’t just a hobby for him—it was a passion that connected him to nature, friends, and family. His love for the sport and the memories made will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. Lucas left an indelible mark on everyone he met.

He is survived by his daughters (Lennox, Lillia, Lakyah); his father, Jon Moore; his siblings (Heidi Wheatley, Russell Goff, William “Billy” Thames, Benjamin Thames, Levi Miner); and many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly. He is preceded in death by his mom, Jackie Thames-Jackson, and sister, Stephanie. Though his time with us was too short, his love and legacy will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.

Rest in peace, Lucas. Your love and light will never be forgotten.

Funeral: A celebration of his life will be held on April 12, 2025, at Mt. View Cemetery, 38813 N.E. 119th Ave., Amboy, WA 98601, at 12 p.m., with a potluck to follow. The reception will be at Mt.
