Mary Jean (Owen) Frahm was preceded in death by her husband Frank, her parents Robert and Alberta Owen, sister Roberta Carlton and granddaughter Christina Jensen.
Mary started school in Golden, Missouri. The family moved several places in the west and finally landed in Downey, California, where she attended high school. She worked full time as a bookkeeper most of her adult life. She enjoyed shopping for and collecting antique dishes and other collectibles. Gardening and visiting gardens of all kinds were a favorite of Mary’s. She traveled to Victoria, Canada, Hawaii, and took a cruise to Mexico.
Anyone that knew her knew that Mary loved the color red. Many of her dishes were red. Until recently her car was red, her coat was red, even her shoes were red.
Mary was a young mother and is survived by her daughters Terry Barrett, Tracy King and Tobey Olson; her son Troy and his wife Kim; and her brother Jerry Owen. Grandchildren include Chad Acheson, Nathan Barrett, Brandie Barrett, Nicholas Barrett, Amy King Strick, Bryce King, Austin Toning and John Frahm. Great-grandchildren include Zach Acheson, Kara Acheson, Christian Jensen, Alyssa Jensen, Brittany Jensen, Logan Barrett, Jordan Hutcherson, Lauren Hutcherson and Ashtyn O’Donnell. Her great-great-grandchild is Aaliyah Hutcherson.
Nieces and nephews include Keith Carlton, Stacey Hegna, Zane Carlton, Leslie Carlton and Kelly Owen.
She was loved and she will be missed.
A celebration of life service was held at Memories Memorial Park Cemetery in Vancouver, Washington, at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 23, 2022.
