On Sept. 19, 2022, Richard (Dick) Daniel Easter passed away at the age of 90 in his home surrounded by his beloved wife of 68 years, Mary Anne Easter, and children Charlene, Cheryle, Tamara, and Linda. Clark, their deceased son, was there in spirit. Dick is also survived by his brothers Sam and John.

Born to George and Romayne Easter, Dick grew up in Aberdeen, Washington, then served in the U.S. Navy. He left Boeing to develop Lake Merwin Campers Hideaway, a cherished outdoor recreational spot in Southwest Washington. The family settled nearby, where he founded the Tie Pond Meadow Tree Farm, the legacy he left for his family. He was a real estate agent with 503 Realty and an active member of the Washington Farm Forestry Association, where he served many terms as president of the Clark County Chapter.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. on Sept. 30, 2022, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 200 W. Jones St., Yacolt, Washington, 98675. In his memory, plant a tree or donate to PeaceHealth Hospice at PHSW Foundation, lb#1094, P.O. Box 35146, Seattle, Washington 98124.
