On Thursday, May 29, 2025, Thana Carr (Fogg), 75, from Vancouver, WA, passed away from complications due to COPD and congestive heart failure. Always a person who put others’ needs before her own, Thana was the delight to so many people. A caring and generous person, she was someone you could count on no matter the hour or need. She gave her love and kindness unselfishly and generously.
Thana was born in Manor, TX, to Ezekiel and Dora Fogg on Mother’s Day, 1950. In 1966, the family moved to Spokane, WA, where she graduated from North Central High School (’68). She met and married Douglas Rudolph and moved to Hawaii. After returning to Spokane in 1970, her son Michael and later daughter Gretchen were born. The family moved throughout Washington state over the next decade. Thana then married Craig Carr and settled down in Kent, WA.
Thana worked for the Boeing Company for many decades and retired in 2008. Thana’s greatest joy was being a grandmother to her eight grandchildren. She was adventurous and kind, with a great sense of humor, and always down for whatever.
Rest in peace, Thana, forever in our hearts.
Memorial Service: A memorial service will be held July 12 at the home of Gretchen Ruff in Battle Ground, WA.
