Letter to the editor: I am asking you to vote for Hannah Joy

Washington state is poised for change.

The leadership within our state Legislature must be replaced with common sense thinking and strong constitutional guidance. It has not been business as usual these past few years and, in fact, there has been a concerted effort to control every aspect of our way of life in Washington state.

The political season is long and wrought with advertisements and signs from one corner of a district to another. Across the 17th Legislative District there is one sign that stands out: Hannah Joy for state representative.

Hannah is the candidate who is committed to returning our state Legislature to its original, intended purpose. A purpose that does not involve an everyday intrusion into the personal lives of Washington residents.

I have had the privilege of working with Hannah Joy for the past few years and I am excited at the prospect of her serving as my state representative. Committed to family values, less government and the principles of liberty, Hannah, I am convinced, will work hard to win back freedom from the government’s heavy hand.

I am honored to know Hannah and her family and look forward to her commitment of truly representing the people of the 17th District. I am asking you to vote for Hannah Joy and join me in sending her to the Washington State Legislature as our representative for position 1, in the 17th district.

Sheriff of Skamania County
