Letter to the editor: Time for city leaders, planners to address problems

Posted

While I’m excited to see Battle Ground bustling with construction and economic activity, I am less pleased with the constant interruptions to traffic on Main Street. Every week it seems that a new outfit is closing down lanes during the busy work week. I wish the city would limit these lane closures to alternate times when traffic isn’t at its peak or make the companies pay overtime to a local cop to direct traffic. With Battle Ground’s continual growth, I do not foresee this problem getting better in the future. It is time for city leaders and planners to start addressing this problem sooner than later.
