The Cowlitz Indian Tribe recently awarded Rocksolid Community Teen Center a $50,000 Capacity Building Grant through the Cowlitz Tribal Foundation Clark County Fund.

The funds will support the position of a digital outreach manager, with the goals of increasing visibility and expanding the organization’s capacity to serve more youth by developing additional resources and partnerships with businesses, nonprofit organizations, donors and volunteers, according to a press release.

“We are incredibly honored to partner with the Cowlitz Indian Tribe through the Cowlitz Tribal Foundation,” Rocksolid Community Teen Center Executive Director Marcy Sprecher said in the release. “This collaboration strengthens our commitment to serving youth and creates a powerful, shared vision for positive change. Knowing that our goals align with the Tribe’s dedication to future generations gives our team both pride and confidence in the work we do.”

Cowlitz Tribal Foundation Officer Sarah Cooke said the Cowlitz Tribal Foundation is proud to continue supporting Rocksolid Community Teen Center’s work in “engaging and empowering youth in Brush Prairie.”

“We have learned through our nonprofit partnerships throughout the county and state that creating a safe space for youth and teens is vital for their development, self-expression and connection to their peers — especially as they grow into young adulthood,” Cooke said in the press release. “The community that has been created through Rocksolid’s efforts is a wonderful example of passionate people at work, doing good work, contributing to the values and goals of being present to support one another.”
