The board of directors of the Master Gardener Foundation of Clark County (MGFCC) has approved grant requests totaling $41,070 for 2023, which will support local horticultural education activities.

A news release from the foundation stated recipients of this year’s grants include the WSU Clark County Master Gardener Program, Clark County Veterans Garden, Minnie Stromgren Memorial Gardens, Fort Vancouver Historic Site Interpretive Garden, 4-H Restorative Community Service Garden, Farm to Fork Heritage Farm tours, Heritage Farm Organic Demonstration Field, Hazel Dell Schools and its community garden, Unitarian Universalist Church Community Garden, St. Joseph Catholic Church Garden, Partners in Careers, Spring Salad Gardens and River HomeLink.

Revenue to support the grants is generated primarily from the annual Mother’s Day weekend plant sale held at the 78th Street Heritage Farm. This year’s sale will be held by appointment on May 12 and May 13. It will then be open to the public on May 14.
