New women’s boutique in Battle Ground offers clothing, space for community gatherings

Noelle Cresap’s aspirations to own a women’s clothing boutique became a reality after her business, Union Boutique NW, graduated from a pop up shop to a storefront location near Albertsons in Battle Ground.

Cresap owns and manages the store with the help of her three daughters when they’re available.

“The lifelong dream of owning a boutique started when I was a teenager,” Cresap said. “I always thought I’d do it with my mom, but instead I’m doing it with my kids.”

The boutique features seasonal women’s fashion items that range from sweaters to denim jeans. The clothing is handpicked by Cresap.

Union Boutique NW carries a variety of brands, which Cresap said sets the business apart from other area boutiques catered toward women. She said the pieces of traditional, basic and trendy clothing are high quality and can be worn many different ways.

Alongside clothes, customers can also find locally made gift items like candle sets crafted by Naty’s Candles and jewelry pieces by White Raven.

“We’ve had really good feedback,” Cresap said. “People like a lot of our different styles. We’ve had a big age range of people come in. People like the quality of the clothes and they also like that they don’t have to drive outside of Battle Ground.”

Cresap and her daughters attended markets and pop up shops to sell items through their boutique for a year and a half prior to opening their new location. Cresap’s favorite part has been the community members from throughout Clark County who have supported her along the way.

Cresap has been a resident of Battle Ground for 20 years. She said her customers have transformed into one big family.

“Battle Ground is my home, that’s where we are based,” Cresap said. “We love the community here.”

Even with her new storefront, Cresap still plans to attend Harvest Days, market events at Urban Basics and other countywide events to sell her wares.

Cresap’s oldest daughter, Laura, manages the marketing side of the business for Union Boutique NW. Cresap and her daughters also model the items they have available through photoshoots that highlight their products through their social media accounts.

The new location has ample space, so Cresap has decided to offer a portion of it for community events.

A candle making class has already been held at the location. The event sold out, according to Cresap. A book club also uses the space on a weekly basis at no charge.

In April, a paint-and-sip night will be held at Union Boutique NW and a Mother’s Day bazaar will be held to highlight other local businesses.

Union Boutique NW is located at 2210 W. Main St., Suite 113, in Battle Ground.
