North Clark Historical Museum to host community open house

North Clark Historical Museum will host an open house from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28., in the museum located at 21416 NE 399 St., Amboy.

Free guided tours of the museum’s exhibits will be available throughout the day. Exhibits include displays of early pioneer life and the history of Amboy, Cheltatchie, Yacolt and surrounding areas, according to a press release by the North Clark Historical Museum.

In addition to tours, free refreshments and information about volunteer opportunities will be available, the release stated.



The 2024 raffle quilt “Winter Magic” will also be on display. Tickets will be available for purchase with proceeds from the raffle benefiting the museum, the release stated.

North Clark Historical Museum operates from a renovated church, originally built in 1910. In 1988, community volunteers worked to renovate the church and convert it into a museum, the museum’s website stated.

The North Clark Historical Museum is open from noon to 4 p.m. on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month. The museum also hosts a variety of community events, such as open mic nights and stitchery circles. For more information, visit northclarkhistoricalmuseum.com.
