The Battle Ground Tigers varsity baseball team celebrated senior day on the road at Heritage High School and its synthetic turf field against the Prairie Falcons.
The turf field allowed the two schools to play their Battle Ground Public Schools district rivalry on Tuesday, April 30 resulting in a 5-2 win for the Prairie Falcons. The Falcons followed their win with a 6-2 loss with a visit, Wednesday, May 1, to the Camas Papermakers to close out the season.
In the 5-2 win over the Tigers, Prairie senior Camden Hern went 3 for 4 at the plate with a double, while junior Nolan Nunn also went 3 for 4 with a double.
The Falcons were slated to host a loser-out game with the No. 5 seed from the South Sound Conference on Tuesday, May 7, but results were unavailable at press time. The Tigers were slated to host a loser-out game against Graham Kapowsin High School on Tuesday, May 7, as well.
