The Prairie Falcons volleyball team fell short of its seed’s expectations in the 3A state tournament at the Yakima Valley SunDome Friday, Nov. 22 to Saturday, Nov. 23.

After earning the third overall seed in the state tournament, the Falcons won their first match on Friday, Nov. 22, against Kennewick High School, 3-1. Later in the day, however, the Falcons lost to sixth-seeded Mount Spokane High School, 3-1, knocking the Falcons into the fifth/sixth bracket.

The Falcons on Nov. 23 saw their season come to an end with a three set loss to Enumclaw High School, short of the fifth/sixth-place matchup.

Prairie finished the season 17-5 with four seniors and 11 underclassmen making up their roster.
