The public is welcome to attend a presentation about findings from the mid-century modern architectural survey project organized by the Clark County Historic Preservation Commission.

The survey aimed to research the county’s mid-century architectural resources, according to a news release.

Architect Peter Meijer, using grant funding from the Washington Department of Archeology and Historic Preservation, compiled information about Clark County’s post-war development and architectural trends.

He also surveyed 43 county properties, including residential, commercial and institutional buildings, that were constructed between 1950 and 1971, stated the release.

The project hopes to bring attention to the significance of the county’s “mid-century heritage” and the need to preserve buildings from this timeframe, the release stated.
