Registration for Clark College’s winter and spring terms will begin on Nov. 9 as the campus prepares to have all of its students fully vaccinated or with approved exemptions by the time classes begin in January.

The college announced all students participating in in-person classes, activities or services must be fully vaccinated or have an accepted medical or religious exemption on file before beginning the winter term on Jan. 3. Masks will continue to be required inside all of the college’s facilities.

“Data shows that the equity gaps in vaccination are closing and we know that vaccinations are the best way to protect our community from COVID-19,” Clark College President Karin Edwards said in the announcement. “That’s why we are becoming a fully vaccinated campus in winter term. I’m excited to welcome more students safely back to campus in 2022.”

More than 40% of the roughly 1,200 classes offered for the winter term will have an in-person component, with classes either fully in-person or a hybrid model that features in-person and online components, according to the college. Throughout the pandemic, the college has offered free loaner laptops and other support for online learning.

Clark College will offer more cohorts of its popular degree programs, including a winter cohort in welding technologies and spring cohorts in pharmacy technician and cybersecurity, the college announced. The winter term will also feature expanded course offerings in its management program.

Clark College’s winter term begins Jan. 3 and its spring term begins April 4. All students must complete the enrollment process before registering for classes at clark.edu/getstarted.
