The Ridgefield Lions Club will sell fresh-cut Christmas trees and accessories beginning Friday, Nov. 29, at the Ridgefield Outdoor Recreation Center, located at 3101 S. Hillhurst Road, Ridgefield.
The Christmas tree lot will be open from noon to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends. The Lions Club will operate the tree lot until all inventory is sold, a press release by the club stated.
This is the fifth year the Ridgefield Lions Club has operated the Christmas tree lot. Grand fir, noble fir and Douglas fir trees are available for purchase. This year, the club will also sell hand-made wreaths, garlands and other holiday decorations from local artists. All proceeds from sales will go to Ridgefield Lions initiatives to help the community.
“We want this to be a fun experience by providing a safe place to find your perfect tree while helping the community — and there’s no mud,” Ridgefield Lions Club President Josh Olson said in the press release.
The Lions offer free delivery of trees and other items sold at the lot to residents within the city of Ridgefield. Home delivery is subject to the availability of volunteers’ vehicles, the press release stated.
