Members of the Ridgefield Lions Club are working to improve around 50,000 square feet of property at the Port of Ridgefield prior to the organization’s Sausage Festival.
This year’s festival is scheduled for June 30 and July 1. It will be the third year of the event and the first year at the port’s waterfront park, according to a news release from the club.
As part of their work, club members applied soil and seed. They also graded the area.
The Sausage Festival will feature Zenner’s Brats, barbecued chicken, loaded spuds, corn on the cob and pretzels with fondue. Beer, wine and seltzer will also be available.
Ridgefield Mini Storage will supply free meals for kids. The venue will also provide a kids’ arcade and music.
All proceeds from the event will go toward the Ridgefield Lions’ activities that benefit the community, the release stated.
