The Rocksolid Community Teen Center recently received a $7,000 grant to support more than 80 youth in the Battle Ground area.

The funds from the grant, which came from the Taco Bell Foundation, will go toward life skills, group mentoring and other programs, stated a news release from the center.

“It’s a privilege to partner with the Taco Bell Foundation in educating and inspiring young people nationwide,” said Marcy Sprecher, the executive director of Rocksolid Community Teen Center. “Together, we are working to break down barriers to education for future leaders.”

The Brush Prairie-based teen center is one of more than 400 organizations that serves youth that will receive a portion of the $7 million in community grants presented by the foundation this year.

“We are proud that the work we do through our community grants program connects young people with the resources and opportunities they need to learn and drive change,” stated Jennifer Bradbury, the executive director of the Taco Bell Foundation, in the release.
